While many seniors are counting down the days until graduation, Jerimiah Johnson is preparing for something much bigger — representing North Dakota on a national culinary stage. Johnson, 17, a senior at Drayton Public School, will travel to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the 2026 Cook Around the World culinary competition April 30 through May 3.

Our Story Hour was fantastic last week. Tammy read “When the Sky Roars.” The children did crafts after the story. Some made paper sack puppets, some made paper plate animal faces, and some of the older kids made wind chimes. They all turned out really nice. Our final Story Hour was on April 28.

Pembina County 4-H Project Day: A hands-on hit

Nearly 60 Pembina County youth (58 participants) gathered on April 11 at Cavalier Public School for an engaging and energetic 4-H Project Day. The event offered a full day of handson learning, creativity, and discovery, giving youth from across the region a chance to explore new interests, build practical skills and connect with others in a fun, welcoming environment.
