Lawsuit filed against EPA
North Dakota has joined 24 other states, including neighboring South Dakota and Montana, in filing a lawsuit against an EPA ruling which requires coal-fired power plants to be shut down if they cannot capture 90% of their carbon emission by the year 2032. The states argue this is an impossible task and are asking for a stay.
