The Pembina County Commission violated state open meetings law by holding an unauthorized executive session, North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley said.
The Commission's Feb. 21, 2023, meeting included an executive session to discuss a confidential proposal for a regional correctional facility, but the session was not properly noticed in advance, violating the law, Wrigley's opinion said.
