Pembina County veterans awarded Quilts of Valor during Pioneer Machinery Show

On Sunday, Sept. 13, 11 Pembina County veterans were awarded Quilts of Valor during the 33rd Annual Pembina County Pioneer Machinery Show. The quilts were made by members of Northern Valley Quilts of Valor, based in Lancaster, Minn.

The group, formed in 2019, is chaired by Kathy Bernstrom and includes quilters from communities throughout northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. Bernstr…
