The Rural Development Finance Corporation recently awarded $1,000 to the Arthur Volunteer Fire Department for new turnout gear and $1,000 to the Niagara Rural Fire Protection District for helmets, bunker gear and boots.
Because Polar Communications is an RDFC member, organizations in its service area may apply for grants of up to $2,000 for community-based projects.
