Cavalier County is offering a Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Training (QPR) during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Research indicates the suicide rate is significantly higher for those working in agriculture and living in rural areas.

Arrest made by Border Patrol in Grafton Details have been released into an arrest by Border Patrol agents in Grafton. The suspect, 27-year-old Carlos Guzman-Pineda, originally from El Salvador, initially fled from authorities on August 21 and was arrested by authorities on August 25.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, an apartment building on Main Street in Langdon was decimated by a fire. Although one serious injury was reported, no individuals were lost to the flames. The house would finally be demolished on Thursday, Aug. 28.
