Body With the failure of the bond referendum, the Langdon Area School board will need to consider the next options. Many of the items on the referendum vote are things that still need to be done and may be on a ticking clock until they fail to perform as needed.

Body It occurred to me this past week after hearing the outcome of the referendum vote regarding the school updates and reading several comments that were posted on Facebook, that approximately half of the people in our community are grieving.

St. Michael man faces murder charges

Body A new trial date of Nov. 18 has been set for Johnny Gaking IV, 27, of St Michael. Gaking is accused of shooting and killing his sister, Tiana Shirelle Walking Eagle, and her three-year-old daughter, Lokia, on March 4.

St. Thomas man arrested by FBI

Body A St. Thomas man made his initial appearance in federal court on June 17 after allegedly threatening a member of the US Attorney’s Office for the District of North Dakota.

Body Two men from the Fargo area who caused the Grand Forks Bomb Squad to be called out onto the interstate last week have made their initial appearance in court.
