Local students receive NDFB scholarships

Body The NDFB Promotion and Education Committee is excited to announce the 20 individuals who have been awarded $1,000 scholarships through the NDFB Foundation. The money is raised through a live auction at the NDFB annual meeting held in November.
On Saturday afternoon shortly after 3 p.m., Walhalla Fire crews were called out to the Walhalla Airport after reports of a ditch fire. The fire originated as a controlled burn that got out of hand as winds shifted and picked up. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze quickly. No injuries or property damage was reported.
