Nationally known composer coming to Langdon for Jazz Festival

Body Composer, presenter, and piano teacher Wynn-Anne Rossi will be coming to Langdon on April 25 to work with Langdon area piano students. Lisa Schuler’s students have been learning about jazz since September.

North Dakota 4-H members score sizable catches at ice fishing derby

Body North Dakota 4-H members embraced the winter season in February with the return of the 4-H Ice Fishing Derby. This event engages youth in the 4-H Sportfishing program, allowing youth to enjoy quality time on the ice in a mentored fishing tournament.

DST put to bed

Body The North Dakota Senate on Monday put to bed a bill which had looked to eliminate the practice of Daylight Savings Time in N.D. Back in January, Bill 1259 had passed through the House on a vote of 55 in favor, 37 opposed.

Body The North Dakota Senate has reconsidered their April 4 decision on House Bill 1160, one of the bills which looked to remove cell phones from classrooms. On that date, the Senate defeated the bill but after new consideration, approved it on April 7 with a vote of 42-4.
