North Border Schools wrap-up Reading Month, promote kindness, and hit the slopes at Frost Fire Park

North Border Schools keep students engaged and make learning fun. Both the Walhalla and Pembina school sites recently wrapped up Reading Month with a culture fair at each location. The Pembina school also recently promoted a kindness challenge, “sprinkling” others with kindness being the main theme.

This week marks the 60th anniversary of the Blizzard of ‘66. Mentioning the Blizzard of 1966 stirs memories for Ole Nowatzski, who was 29 years old at the time and working as a lineman for the local REA in Langdon and soon to become line superintendent.
