In something rare for our area, the Langdon 9U Cal Ripken baseball team competed at a AAA State Tournament held in Wahpeton July 31Aug. 3. Langdon was the only Class B-sized town playing in the event. They showed up well, beating Dickinson and West Fargo in pool play then getting an 8-7 win over Dickinson and a 3-2 victory over Williston in tournament play. This got them to the semifinals, wher...
