Glenda Lee Hall was born in Langdon, N.D., on Oct. 2, 1943, to Harold and Jean (Dussome) Hanson. Glenda was a graduate of Clyde High School and then Joseph's Beauty School in Grand Forks. In 1961, she married Richard Hall. For many years, she owned and operated Glenda's Beauty Salon in Munich. She belonged to the Christian Women’s Club and also served as the organist for Zion Lutheran Church. She was a participant in the local bowling league for years.

After her marriage ended, Glenda started a new chapter of her life in Devils Lake and Grand Forks, where she continued her trade of hairdressing. She found joy in teaching country line dancing. In 2003 she moved to Wausau, Wisc., with her partner, Mike Bargender. Together, they shared a love for polka fests and attending the Green Bay Packers games. Following Mike's death in 2007, Glenda returned to Grand Forks to be closer to her family.

In her later years, Glenda treasured her role as a grandmother, spending countless hours watching her grandchildren play baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and volleyball. The week of her death, she met her beautiful great-granddaughter, Reverie Klein, for the first time, a moment of joy that will be cherished forever. Her warm heart, sense of humor and lively personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Glenda is survived by her children, Shelly (Karl) Purdy of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott (Margaret) Hall of Munich, N.D.. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bryce (Chenelle Badgett) Klein, Kallyn Klein, Blake Klein, Amelia Hall, and Evan Hall, as well as her great-granddaughter, Reverie Klein.
