Funeral services were held on July 8, 2024, in Langdon, N.D., for Gorden Charles Mutcher, known affectionately as Gordy, who passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 85 in Grand Forks, N.D. Gordy was laid to rest in St John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Dresden, N.D. Born on November 27, 1938, in Dresden, N.D., Gordy lived a fulfilling life characterized by kindness, generosity, and humor. His early years were spent working for various farmers around his birthplace. He later moved to Grand Forks, where he embarked on a significant career in the pipefitting and welding industry. Gordy was a respected pipefitter welder with the Local 300 Pipefitter Trade and Trust of Fargo, N.D., retiring in 1997 after decades of dedicated service.

Funeral services were held July 10, 2024, in Bathgate, N.D., for Allen Miller Robinson, also known as “Sonny” to his family and the Hamilton community, who passed away on July 4, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society facility in Larimore, N.D., surrounded by his family.

A graveside service will be held for Vernon Arthur Timian, 81, of Mineola, Texas, at Dresden Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26. Vernon passed away on Dec. 10, 2023, in Quitman, Texas. He was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota on Feb. 12, 1942 to the late Arthur W. Timian and Adella E. Perkuhn Timian. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkins, Texas. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dresden, N.D. He enjoyed hunting and working with his hands. He was a member of Cavalier’s National Guard Unit, as well as a farmer and a trucker.

Funeral services were held in Langdon on June 20, 2024, for Gail P. Haugen Melland, 86, of Edmore, N.D., who passed away June 13, 2024, at First Care Health Center in Park River, N.D. Interment was at Edmore Community Cemetery in Edmore following the funeral service.

Ruby Marie Josephine Krumwiede Nelson, 105, of Langdon, N.D., and formerly of the Egeland, Munich and Rolla areas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Langdon Prairie Health in Langdon. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Egeland School Auditorium in Egeland, N.D., with Pastor David Schnackenberg officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, N.D. from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Egeland.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon, N.D., for Kathleen Ann Wild Witt, 83, who passed away in Flossmor, Ill., on November, 12, 2023. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Langdon. Kathleen Ann Wild Witt was born on July 18, 1941 in Langdon to John and Gertrude Nelson Wild.

Mass of Christian Burial was held June 3, 2024, in Langdon, N.D., for Lewellyn “Pete” Hell, 90, of Langdon, who passed away May 28, 2024, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon. Inurnment was at Elkwood Cemetery, rural Langdon.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1300 S. Sertoma Avenue, in Sioux Falls, S.D., with visitation beginning at 9:15 a.m. for Curtis “Curt” Duane Lundeby, 88, who left this world on May 29, 2024. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Assumption of Mary Catholic Cemetery in Starkweather, N.D.
