The International Peace Garden will be hosting a visit from Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This holiday celebration will include cookie decorating and crafts for kids as well as artisans selling hand-crafted items.

Two of us from our food and nutrition Extension program visited a farmers market. It featured locally grown foods and products made from them. We did a short talk and demonstration about squash and white beans. We also had samples of the soup made from those ingredients.
