The significant influences of my childhood encouraged hard work. My parents (my dad was Norwegian, my mom was Holland Dutch) nurtured the ambition. My school teachers (Billings Public Schools) graded my application of the virtue. Early employers paid me according to my diligence (The Billings Gazette, South Park IGA).

LPH family honors the life and leadership of Wayne Reid

It is with great sadness that the LPH family announces the passing of Chief Executive Officer Wayne Reid. He died at home on Tuesday, April 28, with his wife, Tammy, by his side. Reid was a dedicated leader at Langdon Prairie Health and had a deep love for Langdon.

Cavalier student wins statewide essay contest

Cooper Berry, a third-grade student at Cavalier School, was named the statewide winner of the North Dakota League of Cities’ “If I Were Mayor” essay contest. Berry was recognized during a school assembly May 4, where he received a $150 check and an award presented by North Dakota League of Cities Executive Director Matt Gardner.

Mail-in ballots for North Dakota June primary now available

North Dakota election officials on Thursday will start mailing absentee ballots for the June primary election. To vote absentee, voters must first send an application for a ballot to their county election official.
