Pembina County 4-H awards eight scholarships

The Pembina County 4-H Council has awarded $500 scholarships to eight graduating seniors in recognition of their involvement and dedication to 4-H. Recipients are: •Ben Carpenter of Walhalla, who plans to attend Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Today, we are highlighting one of Walhalla Ambulance Service’s longest- serving crew members, Cheryl Trupe. Trupe has been with the Walhalla Ambulance crew since 2008, first as an emergency medical responder and then as an emergency medical technician.

LPH Foundation picnic draws record crowd

The Langdon Prairie Health Foundation’s annual picnic drew its largest crowd yet Thursday, Aug. 13, with approximately 420 people served, including to-go orders. “The picnic was a great success,” Foundation Executive Director McKinzie Sivertson said.
