Highway 1 project awaits next construction phase As of May 26, the Highway 1 reconstruction project between Langdon and Nekoma remains in a holding pattern as crews wait for frost to leave the ground and final stabilization mix designs to be completed. Project officials told the Borderland News Center that work could still be a couple of weeks away from entering the next phase. Despite the delay, North Dakota Department of Transportation officials say the project remains on schedule for completion sometime in July. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

The Langdon Area School hosted graduation for 32 area seniors on Sunday in the high school gymnasium. The Langdon Area students were very fortunate to have their hard work recognized through local and other scholarship awards. The graduates received more than $70,000 in local scholarships, along with nearly $180,000 in state and university scholarships.
