Isabelle Olson of Langdon, N.D., was named to the Spring 2026 Dean's List at the University of Jamestown. Students are named to the list for earning a 3.5 GPA while taking at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

We did it! We officially closed out our school year on Tuesday, wrapping up a busy and memorable final few weeks at St. Alphonsus School. From our ABC Countdown to Summer to field trips, graduations, awards, and Field Day festivities, we packed plenty of fun and celebration into the month of May. Our students and teachers made many memories together, and we have the photos to prove it (visit our Facebook page).

The first Thursday of the month we enjoyed the Maundy Thursday church service provided by Pastor Jodi in the Maple Manor Chapel to bring us right into Easter Sunday. We also took part in the “Stroll & Roll” promoted by Cavalier County Public Health to encourage people to get up and move within their environment.

Munich Public School 4th Quarter Honor Roll | 2025-2026 School Year

To be on the “A” Honor Roll, a student must obtain a quarterly GPA of 3.5 or higher, have no letter grade below a B-, and no more than one letter grade below an A-. To be on the “B” Honor Roll, a student must obtain a quarterly GPA of 3.0-3.49, have no letter grade below a C-, and no more than one letter grade below a B-.

April fun at Maple Manor

April was a fun and exciting month at Maple Manor, filled with activities that brought smiles and laughter. One of the highlights was dyeing Easter eggs, which sparked fond memories for many residents of doing the same activity with their children and grandchildren. Residents also took part in an Easter Egg Popper Challenge, and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny brought joy to all.

Langdon Area seniors awarded nearly $250,000 in scholarships

Local organizations, memorial funds, and colleges invest in Class of 2026 Information provided by Jordan Braunberger, K-12 school counselor at Langdon Area Schools Langdon Area High School seniors were recognized during the school’s annual scholarship awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, with nearly $250,000 in scholarship funding awarded through local providers and colleges. Approximately 50 area businesses, organizations, memorial funds, and community groups offered scholarships to Langdon seniors this year, resulting in nearly $70,000 awarded through local scholarships alone.

P.E.O. Memorial Scholarship winners announced

The P.E.O. Memorial Scholarship began when Chapter U of Langdon received a bequest from Fred E. Hawley in memory of his wife, Chelta Hamilton Hawley. Since then, the scholarship has grown to include funds raised through memorials for other P.E.O. members, gifts to the local chapter, and fundraising by our members. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of leadership, character, scholastic ability, school involvement, community involvement, and a personal interview. The Langdon Chapter U of the P.E.O. Sisterhood would like to congratulate their P.E.O. Memorial Scholarship recipients for 2026, Emma Hetler and Haven Radway. Each young woman received $1000 to go towards their college education.

Golf: Cards place third at Turtle River Class May 14

Langdon Area/Munich placed third at the Turtle River Classic with a team score of 350, finishing behind Hatton- Northwood (344) and Grafton (345). Team Results 1.
