Mass of Christian Burial was held September 10, 2026, in Langdon, N.D., for Geraldine Schneider, 90, of West Fargo, N.D., and formerly of Langdon, who passed away September 6, 2026, at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo under the care of HIA Hospice. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Langdon.
Geraldine Ann Kram was born August 11, 1936, in Dresden, N.D., to Sam and Beatrice (Marcotte) Kram. She attended all twelve years of school at St. Alphonsus Catholic School in Langdon, graduating in 1954. Gerry then attended Valley City State Teachers College and earned a teaching certificate. She was a substitute teacher in Hannah and Langdon, when needed. She also was a licensed practical nurse who worked at the Langdon hospital for a short time.
On June 25, 1957, Gerry was united in marriage to Elmer Schneider in Dresden, N.D. The couple made their home in Hannah for a few years then moved to the Schneider family farm near Hannah, where they lived for 28 years. They moved to Langdon for 21 years and spent winters in Mesa, Ariz., where Gerry enjoyed participating in the theatre activities. In 2009, Elmer and Gerry moved to West Fargo and volunteered their time at the Dakota Boys Ranch Thrift Store.
Gerry loved to garden, help in the fields at harvest and bake. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins baseball team. She was a member of the altar society and Catholic Daughters, as well as a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving Gerry are her daughters: Susan (Randall) Woodley of West Fargo, N.D., and Carolyn (Gene) Long of Casa Grande, Ariz.; three grandchildren: Jamie (David) Farmen, Kayla (Anthony) Cross, and Carter (Stephanie) Woodley; and five great-grandchildren: Katelyn & Annika Farmen and Josephine, Brandon & Taylor Woodley. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, two infant brothers, and one grandson.
