A vigil service will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home in Walhalla, N.D., with visitation starting at Noon and a rosary at 12:45 p.m. for Lorraine M. Storey, 83, of Walhalla, who passed away November 2, 2025, at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, N.D.
Lorraine Marie Denault was born Feb. 10, 1942, on the family farm near Walhalla to Cyril and Sara (Bourbanis) Denault. She grew up in Walhalla and graduated from Walhalla High School. She married Hughie Hiller, and after their marriage, they lived in St. Thomas, N.D. After Hughie passed away, she married Gordon Storey, and they made their home in Walhalla. Lorraine worked various jobs while living in St. Thomas and Walhalla. Lorraine enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, playing cards and going to the casino.
She is survived by her sons: Jeff (Margaret) Hiller of Devils Lake, N.D. and Todd (Nora) Storey of Grafton, N.D.; grandchildren: Tara and Megan Hiller; Kaianna, Sophia, and Tyan Storey, Ashley Pavek, Amber Olson, and Evan Hiller; Ivy, Kia, and Koi Hiller; 10 great-grandchildren; and her brothers: Everett (Ruth) Denault, Francis (Nancy) Denault, Darrel (Jackie) Denault. Preceding her in death were her husbands, Hughie Hiller and Gordon Storey; her parents, Cyril and Sara; sons Harry and Kelvin Hiller; and brother Ronald Denault.
