The Langdon-Munich Cardinals had their first game of the 2026 football season Aug. 21 at Oakes versus the Tornadoes. The Cards jumped out to a 33-6 halftime lead on their way to a 40-14 victory. The Cardinals, 1-0, have their first home game against Valley City Aug. 28, then will begin the Region 2A part of their schedule at Harvey-Wells County on Sept. 4.
