PCN baseball finishes regular season with games in Walhalla and the first in 10 years in Pembina

It has been a struggle this season for the Pembina County North Grizzlies high school baseball team just to get games in this season. They have had several outright cancelled due to the weather and others postponed. They finally got on the field to finish their regular season Region 4 schedule, with home games in Pembina on May 8 hosting Grafton and May 12 in Walhalla, entertaining Midway-Minto.

Lady Cards win in a thriller over M-M to host first-ever softball play-in game

PCN Grizzlies also in as top seed in the Region 2 North sub-division We have reached the postseason for girls high school softball. The Pembina County North Grizzlies are the top seed in the north sub-division, with Langdon-Munich getting the second seed after a wild 12-11 win over Midway-Minto, which ended their regular season on May 12.

The Langdon-Munich and North Border boys golf teams were working through the homestretch of their meet schedule when they played at the Langdon Country Club on May 7 then at King's Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks on May 12. The weather in Langdon was chilly, and in GF, the wind was blowing at gale force levels. The Cardinals had two teams play at their home course in Langdon, with the first taking second to North Star shooting a 331. The second squad was an impressive sixth, with a team score of 357. North Border took seventh in Langdon, carding a 360. The Cards Ryder Moser took second individually, shooting an 18-hole score of 74, while eighth grader Finley Gage had a career best 78, taking fourth place. Zeke Symington took ninth for the Eagles with an 83.

Boys Golf: Cardinals place second at Region 2 Meet

The Langdon Area-Munich Cardinals turned in a strong performance at the Region 2 Boys Golf Tournament on May 5 at the Cando Golf Club, finishing second overall as a team with a score of 331. Ryder Moser led the Cardinals with a third-place individual finish after carding a 73.
