Cardinals move on in the football playoffs, Eagles season sadly ends It was a wild day on Oct. 25 when the opening round of the North Dakota High School Football playoffs began for both the Langdon-Munich Cardinals and North Border Eagles. For the Cards, they got all they wanted from a tough Northern Cass team but prevailed with two big plays - a “Philly Special” type trick pass from wide receiver Eastyn Schaefer to quarterback Jax Johnson and a gigantic interception and touchdown from Maddux Stremick. Langdon-Munich will now roll on to the Class A quarterfinals, where they will host the Hillsboro- Central Valley Burros at 2:00pm on Nov. 1.
