Northern pike are present in the 20- to 30-inch range, along with a few larger fish. Crappie numbers are slightly down but still include fish in the 8- to 10-inch range. Perch are generally smaller, though some fish reach 9 to 10 inches. (Fishing pier access available.)

By Jake Kulland, Sports Editor It's been a busy stretch for the Langdon- Munich Cardinals high school baseball team, as they have had their schedule condensed due to issues with weather in the first half of April. The same can be said of the Pembina County North Grizzlies, who had played just two games coming into their league doubleheader with the Cardinals, which was held in Munich at Edgar Westphal Field on April 29. Langdon-Munich beat the Grizzlies, 17-0 and 24-3, to push their record to 5-2 on the year. The Cards lost the day before on April 28 to Park River Area in Langdon, 5-2. Langdon-Munich also got a big Region 4 win over Midway-Minto, 2-0, on April 23, where Theo Romfo had 12 strikeouts on the mound.

Pushing through some cold days to get events in; Happy 80th Birthday, Tom Perius As we come to you this week, it has been chilly to say the least this past week. We have been doing some spring sportscasts for KNDK 1080, and it has not been ideal weather conditions at all. On April 27, for a game with Langdon-Munich and Park River Area for high school baseball, a 30-mile an hour wind complicated things even more. After the game, I went home, took a hot shower, and watched the Timberwolves game on the couch with six blankets.
