Mason Romfo Named to ACHA All-Athletic Second Team Following Record Season

Body
By Kieran Lang, Communications and Marketing Assistant at University of Minnesota - Crookston Mason Romfo (Fr., F, Langdon, N.D.) had a season to remember in his first year with the Golden Eagle Hockey Program. He was also named ACHA All-Athletic Second Team. Setting records in any season is difficult, setting three records is basically unheard of. But that is exactly what Mason Romfo did this season. With 30 goals and 36 assists for 66 points in 29 games, Romfo set the records for most goals in a season, most points by a rookie in a season, and most points in a season in the ACHA Era of the Golden Eagles.

Tournament Time is coming to and end; North Border is a win away from the State B tourney As we come to you this week, Tournament Time is nearing its end for 2025. The end brings mixed emotions; it has been one wild ride going from one tourney to another, but it still brings some sadness when it comes to a conclusion. My Lovely Lisa is ready for it to end, that I can tell you. She has handled her first Tournament Time run well but is growing tired of being a sports widow with me running to Rolla, Devils Lake, Park River, Jamestown, and back to Devils Lake for tournament coverage in just the last couple of weeks. Thanks to Lisa for being very patient with me on this tourney journey.
