Langdon team makes history at Old Timers Hockey Tournament

Dakota Spirit Arena was the site for the annual Old Timers Hockey Tournament held March 14-16. Six teams were competing for the title this year, two from Langdon plus clubs from Mayville, Grand Forks, Bottineau and Crosby.

It's just crazy to believe that it's been 25 years since the North Border Eagles won their first and only State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament championship way back in 2001, which was also the first year for the co-op between the schools in Walhalla, Neche and Pembina. On March 21, the Eagles will be recognized at this year's state tourney for the 25th silver anniversary of their crown.

Out at the Ponderosa preparing for the State B tournament Well, here we are at the last stop for Tournament Time for the winter sports season. That end of the line is the 2026 Class B Boys Basketball Tournament, which is going on at the MSU-Dome in Minot through March 21.

NB Eagles lose in third place game at regionals to end season

North Border's Kaden Moore, Langdon-Munich's Eastyn Schaefer make All-Region 2B team After getting in the semifinals with a win over Langdon-Munich in the opening round of the Region 2B Boys Basketball Tournament in Devils Lake, the North Border Eagles had dreams of defending their regional crown when they played Nelson County in the semifinals on March 10. The Eagles lost to the Chargers 69-51 then lost the third place game to North Star on March 12.
