Twister touches down near Calio

Severe thunderstorms slammed through northeast North Dakota on Monday afternoon with at least one tornado confirmed to have touched down near Calio in Cavalier County. The tornado was first caught by onlookers a little before 4pm with it touching down about three miles west of Calio.

Devils Lake man makes initial appearance In Northeast District Court, Timothy Charles Duciaume, 30, of Devils Lake made his initial appearance on Monday. Duciaume is accused of burglary and criminal trespass at the Wales school in 2024.

Grand Forks man changes plea in pornography charges

A change of plea hearing has been scheduled for a Grand Forks man accused of five counts of child pornography possession. Devon Jay Hegland, 29, was arrested in January after an executed search warrant led to the discovery of child sex abuse material in Hegland’s Google and Dropbox accounts.

Park River man faces 15 charges

A pretrial conference was scheduled last Friday for Park River resident Christian David Phil Lundquist, 26. Lundquist was arrested in August 2024 after the state’s attorney office filed a felony complaint.
