Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon, N.D., with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. and a Rosary at Noon at the church for Donalda Ilene (Borho) Waltz, known lovingly as Donna, who was carried gently into Jesus’ arms to her last and heavenly home on Feb. 11, 2025, at the age of 96. We celebrate her overwhelming joy as she now worships God in his glorious presence. Burial of ashes will be at Calvary Cemetery in Langdon.

Funeral services were held February 6, 2025, in Devils Lake, N.D., for Clarence T. “Bud” Hermanson of Hampden, N.D., who passed away Jan. 31, 2025, at CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake surrounded by his loving family. Burial will be at the Storlie Cemetery at a later date.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 2:00 PM at Dunnigan Dix Funeral Home in Cando with visitation starting at 1:00PM for Linda Elaine (Moen) Knutson, 79, of Cando, N.D., who passed away Feb. 4, 2025, at Towner County Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at United Lutheran Church in Langdon, N.D., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church for Doris Mae Stein, 98, who passed away at Langdon Prairie Health on Feb. 6, 2025.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, N.D. on May 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm. for Lois Jean Carrie Landsgaard Magnusson, 91, who died in Preston, Minn., Jan. 24, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, S.D., with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. for Caroline Mae LeSage Scott, 72, of Sioux Falls, who died January 29, 2025. Burial will be held on May 25, 2025, at Ostervold Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Finley, N.D., where she will be buried near her parents. All who knew and loved Caroline are welcome to join any of these memorials to honor her life.

Funeral services were held January 30, 2025, in Langdon, N.D., for Gerald 'Jerry' Bowles, 86, of Langdon, who passed away January 23, 2025, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D. Jerry was born on March 11, 1938, in Langdon, N.D., to Walter and Ada (Magnus) Bowles.

A memorial service was held in Walhalla, N.D. on January 30, 2025, for Cheryl Virginia Brandt, 73, who passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, N.D. Inurnment will take place at Vang Cemetery in the spring. Cheryl was born the eldest of eight children to Vernon and Olive Christine (Hiller) Bennett. She was born on the family farm near Walhalla. She attended Vang Country School and graduated from Walhalla High School. After high school she attended and graduated from Aaker’s Business College in Grand Forks, N.D. Cheryl met Sidney Brandt in 1971. She caught his eye when she had a flat tire, and he was the young man at his family’s gas station in Grand Forks to fix it! He fixed her tire and asked her out once the job was done. The rest is history! They married in June of 1972, and they raised their three children in rural Walhalla. As empty nesters, they resided in Reynolds and Grand Forks before returning to the Bennett family farm near Walhalla. Cheryl and Sid owned the Walla Lanes Bowling Alley and Walhalla Home and Building Center, and she also worked over the years as a secretary or bookkeeper at several businesses in Walhalla and Grand Forks.

A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls, Minn., for IdaMae Buckingham, 96, of Rothsay, Minn., who died January 25, 2025, at LB Broen Home in Fergus Falls. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls.

A memorial service will be held at Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville, Minn. this summer for Colene Marie Forsberg of Hastings, Minn., and Pharr, Texas, who passed away suddenly but peacefully on January 15, 2025, in McAllen, TX, with her husband and daughter, Nicole, by her side.
