Lady Cards run off three straight wins to clinch second seed in District 4 tournament

Eagles lose to PRFL, and North Star, beat Richland in latest season run

It has been a busy stretch for the North Border Eagles boys basketball team. They had two makeup games in Pembina versus Park River-Fordiville- Lankin on Jan. 30 and Richland on Jan. 31. The Eagles then stayed in Pembina, hosting the North Star Bearcats on Feb. 3. North Border lost to PRFL 44-42, beat the Colts 72-36, then were beaten by the Bearcats 6051. This puts the Eagles record at 8-6 overall, and they stay busy in the week ahead. They will play in Lakota versus Nelson County on Feb. 6, get in another makeup game in Hatton-Northwood in Hatton on Feb. 9, host Drayton-Valley-Edinburg in Pembina on Feb. 10, then travel to Cooperstown to play Griggs-Midkota on Feb. 12.

Cards boys get big District 4 win over NC, lose to No. 5 M-M

The Langdon-Munich Cardinals boys basketball team was looking forward to two big match ups at home: on Jan. 30 versus Nelson County, then versus fifth-ranked Midway-Minto on Feb. 2. The Cards won over the Chargers 42-38 then lost to the Mustangs, 52-45. The Cardinals record is now 6-7 on the season. They played in Munich versus Warwick on Feb. 5 then will have a makeup game at St. John on Feb. 6. In the week ahead, Langdon-Munich will play in Rolla versus North Prairie on Feb. 9 then head to New Rockford-Sheyenne on Feb. 12. All games are District 4 games for the Cardinals and are all very important.

Cards boys crush Benson County in Munich, lose late to Class A Thompson

The Langdon-Munich Cardinals boys basketball team played a makeup game in Munich versus Benson County Jan. 24 then hosted Thompson on Jan. 27 in their latest games. The Cards scored the most in a game all season versus the Wildcats, winning 87-50, but lost late to the Tommies, 56-40. The Cardinals are now 5-6 on the season and have a huge District 4 game in Langdon versus Nelson County on Jan. 30. They will continue a five-game homestand by hosting Midway-Minto on Feb. 2 and meeting Warwick in Munich on Feb. 5. They will also play at St. John in a makeup game on Feb. 6.
