At the boys basketball game in Walhalla on Tuesday night, one of the highlights was North Border student Asher Crosby making a half-court shot during halftime. Kyle Gagner and Ryan Beattie from Nodak Insurance in Cavalier and Langdon sponsored the challenge.

CARDS BOYS WIN over Larimore on the road, play first home game vs. Grafton

The Langdon-Munich Cardinals boys basketball team finally got in their first home game of the season on Jan. 5 when they entertained the Grafton Spoilers. Grafton senior Brody Lillemoen nearly set a record in the Langdon gym, as he scored 48 points - two off the mark set by Kurt Keplin from Belcourt in 1982. The Spoilers won the game, 84-72. The Cards did get a nice win just before that on Jan. 3, routing Larimore, 74-33. After the two games, the Cards' record now stands at 3-3. They will play Hatton-Northwood at home in Langdon on Jan. 9 then play at Walhalla to battle the North Border Eagles on Jan. 13.
