Mason Romfo, Nick Kingzett and Cole Welsh finish careers with Red Sox Baseball The Langdon Red Sox American Legion team entered the State B Tournament for the fourth time in five years when they competed at Park River Aug. 1-5.

State B American Legion Tournament ends summer sports season with a story that will not be soon forgotten We come to you this week just after the 2025 State B American Legion Baseball Tournament was completed in Park River on Aug. 4. The Langdon Red Sox made it to day three of the tourney, winning one game and losing two, with all three by the 10-run rule, which may be some kind of record. Congrats to Mason Romfo, Nick Kingzett and Cole Welsh on completing great Legion baseball careers and athletic career for the Red Sox and Cardinals overall. All three will be missed.

In something rare for our area, the Langdon 9U Cal Ripken baseball team competed at a AAA State Tournament held in Wahpeton July 31Aug. 3. Langdon was the only Class B-sized town playing in the event. They showed up well, beating Dickinson and West Fargo in pool play then getting an 8-7 win over Dickinson and a 3-2 victory over Williston in tournament play. This got them to the semifinals, where they lost to eventual champion Fargo 5-2.
