They then lost at top seeded Thompson, 15-0, on a very cold day on May 17 to end their season with a record of 6-10. North Dakota showing its true self from one end of the weather spectrum to the other As we visit with you this week, it is HOT. For this time of May, record setting heat has come all across our region. As we type, it’s 92 degrees in Langdon and near the century mark in the Red River Valley. It’s wicked warm, but as most of you read these words, it’s a little chilly to say the least. The beginning of the week has record heat, and the end of the week has a chance of snow. It is what it is in North Dakota, where we always say if you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes. The forecast has thrown spring activities for a loop, as we explain below.
