GRIZZLIES DEFEAT CARDINALS IN RIVALRY GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL GAME

Body
In a makeup from earlier this season, the Langdon-Munich Cardinals visited the Pembina County Grizzlies in Cavalier for girls softball on April 14. The Grizzlies got the home win, 11-5. PCN is now 2-0 on the season and has a home and home with Cavalier for their next two games. The Lady Cards had a road game at McVille versus Nelson County on April 17 then they play at Carrington on April 22 before hopefully having their first home game of the year versus Larimore on April 24.

Outdoor activities picking up; hopefully field work won’t be far behind Let’s start this week by saying we are finally rolling with some outdoor spring activities for track, baseball, softball and golf. You will find several stories and pictures of the many events going on. They say that Spring is the busiest time of the year with so many different spring sports going on at one time and the short amount of time to get them all in. There will be busses going in all directions in the last couple weeks of the school year. Hopefully with that comes some spring’s work in the field, although we could use a bit of a heat wave to get that rolling as well.

A little glimpse of spring brings a load of activities As we write this week, it is beginning to feel sort of spring-like here in the Tundra. Anytime it gets over 50 degrees in April, we are normally dancing in the streets. Snow does linger in some spots, however, and that has been making it tough to get outdoors for any kind of spring activities. Not sure why, but there are many things going on April 12. Let’s talk them all up.
