Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla, N.D., for Sally Ault, 97, of Minot, N.D., and formerly of Cavalier, N.D., who passed away Aug. 29, 2025, at Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, N.D. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

March 16, 1945 – Aug. 11, 2025 A burial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 15, 2025, at Tahoma National Cemetery with a luncheon to follow for Eugene Dale Thom, who was born March 16, 1945, in Langdon, N.D., to Elmo and Clara Thom. Eugene (or Gene, as he was more commonly known) was the second of six children and spent his childhood farming with his family and community in Langdon.

A celebration of life will be held in Grand Forks, N.D., in October 2025, for Glenda Hall, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, previously of Edgewood Assisted Living in Grand Forks, who passed away Aug. 16, 2025, in hospice care. Details about the date and location will be announced at a later time. Internment will follow in the Clyde Cemetery.

Services were held Aug. 19, 2025, in Walhalla, N.D., for John Lawrence Hornung of Walhalla, who died peacefully on Aug. 15, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was 94 years old, and for the past two years, had been a resident at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sept. 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rockwoods, 9100 Quaday Ave. NE in Otsego, Minn., for Craig Throndset, 70, of Big Lake, Minn., who comfortably passed away Aug. 3, 2025, at HCMC in Minneapolis, Minn.

Duane Peter Sauer, 66, husband of Gervenna, father to Eric, papa to Levi, Riley, Westley, and Kara, died peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of Aug. 15, 2025. Born Sept. 11, 1958, to Lloyd and Dorothy (Schill) Sauer in Langdon, N.D., Duane was the second of seven children. Being raised on a farm, he learned the value of hard work and hard play. Snowmobiling in the winter, water skiing in the summer, and getting into mischief were how his days were spent.

March 16, 1937 – August 6, 2025 A funeral service was held on Aug. 13, 2025, in Devils Lake, N.D., for Carol Marie Lee (Klein), 88, of Devils Lake, who passed away Aug. 6, 2025 at Eventide Heartland Care after a long battle with COPD. A meal and social followed at Ruger Park. Burial was Aug. 14 at Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau, N.D.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Parish Center in Langdon, N.D., with visitation starting at 1:00 pm, for Lisa Bodnar, 62, of Langdon, who peacefully passed away August 2, 2025, surrounded by her daughters at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Langdon.

David Douglas Bryant, 56, of Langdon, ND, passed away on July 9, 2025. Born October 28, 1968, he spent 20,708 days making those around him laugh with his legendary dad jokes and never letting a moment go to waste.

A private graveside service was held July 25, 2025, in New Rockford, N.D., for Everett Edward Dodds, who passed away surrounded by family on July 21, 2025, in Grand Forks, N.D. Born on March 17, 1955, in New Rockford, N.D., Everett grew up in a large family as the son of Goldie and David Dodds.
